Updated September 1, 2026. What men over 40 are actually talking about — each topic is a full article, not a blurb.
Not medical or financial advice
Trends are noisy. The playbook pages stay. These articles are a snapshot of the conversation plus a default, not a prescription.
Health — Sleep before the lab number¶
Men keep posting that a “normal” testosterone result still leaves them exhausted, foggy, and unrecovered. Most daily T and growth hormone happen in deep sleep; a week of junk sleep drops T hard. The fight this week is TRT versus fixing the night — we stay with sleep, a full panel, and recovery, not a single number.[1]

Wealth — Start compounding anyway¶
The loud thread is the guy who did it “right” for 35 years, maxed the 401k, and still cannot walk away. Waiting until you feel ready is the expensive move; starting at 40 is a math problem, not a crisis. Options income and single names are loud; we stay with time in cheap indexes and a baseline you control.[2]

Nutrition — Protein at every meal¶
Recurring default: men over 40 are under-eating protein, then wondering why hunger and muscle loss win. Target is roughly a gram per pound of goal weight, 30–40 g per meal, from eggs, meat, yogurt, fish — not a new diet. Alcohol keeps showing up as the thing that wrecks sleep and stalls fat loss for a day or two.[3]

Training — Capable, not crushed¶
The useful posts are not “add more weight every session.” After 40 the goal is stay capable: progress with reps, variations, and a double-progression, plus walking. Loud default this week: four brisk walks and two heavy lifts, plus work for tightening tendons and legs. Exhausting every workout is the fight we skip.[4]

Ignore today¶
- Supplement stacks (zinc + ashwagandha + tongkat) as the testosterone plan
- TRT / PCT protocols as a first move
- Selling puts and options income as the retirement default
- Celebrity 10–12 hour sleep as the protocol
- One grocery list (carnivore or otherwise) as the only way to eat
The floor is unchanged: Start here.
