Updated September 10, 2026. What men over 40 are actually talking about — each topic is a full article, not a blurb.
Not medical or financial advice
Trends are noisy. The playbook pages stay. These articles are a snapshot of the conversation plus a default, not a prescription.
Health — Sleep debt hits T¶
Sleep is the loudest health thread this week. One week of five-hour nights drops testosterone 10-15 percent — the same hit as a decade of aging.[1] Guys still call fatigue “just getting older” while skipping the full panel and the 7–9 hour night. The fight is TRT and ice baths versus sleep plus losing the belly first; we stay with sleep and bloodwork.

Wealth — Consistency still compounds¶
41-year-olds are mapping 29-year timelines, maxing Roths, running weekly buys, and living below their means with no consumer debt. Time left still matters; the loud advice is automate cheap funds and stay in, not hunt the next ticker. The fight is income ETFs and annuities versus boring indexes; we stay with the latter.
Read the article — why catch-up compounding still works if you keep the contributions automatic.

Nutrition — 30–40 g per sitting¶
After 40 the anabolic signal needs 30–40 g of protein in one meal or it barely registers. 20 g snacks and 50 g days show up as muscle loss, 3 p.m. cravings, and aching joints. Alcohol is named in almost every list as the silent fat, sleep, and recovery killer.

Training — Lift 3×, walk 10k¶
Muscle loss after 40 is silent; the default that keeps showing up is three heavy full-body sessions plus 8–10 k steps. Joint-friendly work (farmers, RDLs, goblets) and treating recovery like training beat more volume on broken sleep. Overtraining on 5 hours and caffeine is the complaint.
